Such prose is a rare occurrence on modern blogs- a pleasure to behold! We're still in WA, best beaches I've ever seen anywhere in the world. You'll love it when you get here. May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.

Hello Vissers!
I asked Harry if he'd like to go rock climbing with Emily, poor kid nearly jumped out of his skin with excitement, saying, "For sure! Where is she?"
He looked very disappointed when I explained that the rock climbing would be with Emily next year! He's still keen for next year ... even in a hall!
My fall was such bad luck! The ambulance trip to the hospital was 20 min, and for the ambulance to initially get to me was about 15 minutes! Our public health care system is outstanding! The treatment & care I was given in a little country hospital was fantastic! I'm still sore but recovering!
So pleased you enjoyed SWR, loved the photos. Jxx

As for our adventure-I am loving it! Im loving the freedom, the variety of each day and watching my kids laugh all day long. I'm now appreciating this incredible opportunity that Rog has created for us.
The school work ... Ali is great, as for my Harry - Harry would rather be collecting snails, rescuing injured birds and socialising with the camping backpackers who play music loudly and dance on their cars! Harry has life all sorted!
It's great that you are getting itchy feet to hit the road again, pick a spot - The Simpson, Cape Yorke ... join us, it would be a hoot!
A surprise for me is the limited internet service as we travel, even in areas that are not very remote. We have been on the Yorke Pennisular for the last week, amazing scenery, but no internet - so sorry for my late reply.

Missing you very much especially our chats and laughs. Been very busy with the school year starting etc Gosh you look like you are having the most amazing time. You have seen and done so much just in 2 months. How is the home schooling going? The kids are no doubt learning more outside than from the books. I am counting the days until I leave for the US to see Indi for her first birthday, I can't believe she is almost 1. Graeme heads off on his surfing trip to Indonesia in a couple of weeks so lots of travel for the Dudleys. I am fortunate to have Scarlett in my class this year so we have lovely chats about what the Whitemans are up to. Enjoy your trip across the Nullabor. Love Rosiexx

Your beautiful India is nearly 1? How quickly a year goes by. The U.S for a birthday celebration will be terrific. Tell your Graeme that we saw some gutsy/crazy surfers in Elliston (SA-Eyre Peninsula) surfing at least a kilometre off shore catching awedome waves but in prime Great White Shark territory!
We have now been on the road for 9 weeks and it has flown! We are now in WA, crossing The Nullabor was great.
The schooling set-up is proving successful for Ali & unsuccessful for Harry. My Harry would rather be snorkelling, fishing, climbing, bike riding or poking himself in the eye than doing anything that resembles a school activity. Not sure if it's the student or the teacher that's the problem?!

I saw on Kim Sweeneys FB that you and your family are travelling for the year. How exciting for you all. The photos are amazing and looks like you are all having an absolute ball. I noticed that you are in WA. My brother in law lives in Denmark, have you been thru there yet? It is an amazing area and the beaches are just beautiful.

Hello Mrs. Ayling!
It's great to hear from you. We left for our adventure just after Christmas and we are having a super time. I've seen and done a lot of interesting things, but my favourites are visiting Sovreign Hill, swimming with sea lions and meeting new friends.
My favourite town is Denmark! We have been here for a week and love it! I'll look out for your brother-in-law!

Hello travelers, hope you like Perth, we have enjoyed our stays there. Will you go to Rottnest island? We hired bikes there. Nothing to report here. All quiet next door. Ron now has 5 cars, two of them Cadillacs, so we are in good company. I fear his wife must have said it's either me or the cars! It's school hols here now, so no school work allowed for the kids! Hi Jada
Just had a lovely time catching up on your trip. How quickly have the 4 months gone!! As you probably heard we've had terrible rain here. Most of us had to park in the street behind the school as a tree came down on a couple of cars and we couldn't get through. There's still a lot of homes without electricity especially on the central coast .
You'll be pleased to know the library's almost back to normal. Sam's been fantastic putting all the tubs and shelving together and I went in yesterday to try and find a place for everything.

Hi Forsythes
The turtle eating the jellyfish was amazing to see. It was one of those times when you are torn between capturing the footage and simply living the moment so since I chose footage I'm glad you enjoyed it. We are up north now and while warm it is not so easy to swim and snorkel, especially after today seeing 'Sweetheart" the salty in Darwin Museum, caught in 1979, at 5.1m and 780kg he would have made short work of me!

Hello neighbours,
we wondered where you were, so I just had to have a look. Whatever happened to Rabbit Flat on the Tanami? It used to be a fuel stop and a camping area for travellers on that challenging road. Have a great time in Alice and Uluru. It's a nice time to be there, though a bit chilly at night.
All well here,

Hi Marg and Jon
The Tanami was a challenge but very worthwhile. Rabbit Flat is unfortunately closed. I have fond memories of it in 1984 and while I knew it would be closed I was hoping to at least see it and reminisce a little, however, even the access road was blocked! Consequently it is now a long way between fuel stops. The centre was freezing but we are now back to the warmth of Darwin. Hope all is well for you guys.

Loved the photos of Darwin. We lived there for 18 months and Mindl Markets was one of our favourite places in the Dry. It's a fun place for kids. The Wet was like a sauna, every day was a bad hair day! The compensation was that all the trees flowered, and lots of different birds came. it was so pretty and green. We loved our time there, and enjoyed all the things you can do in the Top End. Keep having fun in Kakadu, Margaret and Jon

Hi Jada,
Hope all's well. I'm sorry but I just had to tell the staff the real truth about your trip and the SHAM that it is!! They now know you only got as far as Woy Woy and fell in love with the simple life and could not leave...amd that's where you have been for the past 8 months.
!
You love having dinner at 4:30, in the afternoon and then sitting around in a circle with people named Beryl, Norm, Bertha, Bert etc drinking cask white from your sensible plastic cup. By the way how is your recipe book working out ? You know the one....1001 Ways With sausage Mince!
You then get to go to bed by 7:00 and dream of the ablution block and all that snot on the wall of the shower cubicle and then there is the toilet where you get to see the results of fellow campers use of 1001 Ways With Sausage Mince.
If you do finally decide to move on...to say Budgewoi...you get to do it all again with a new bunch of people named Beryl, Norm, Bertha, Bert etc.
What a life! What a great trip! See you soon.
Graeme
Ps I did see you in Coles Darwin, but managed to duck out of the sausage mince aisle before you started heading down it. Also how good are the $2.99 5 litre Fruity Lexia casks???

Hi Uncle Phil
collecting the food was hard work and took a lot longer than you would imagine. I almost died of hunger while collecting a handful of water chestnuts.
I helped prepare the nuts and mussels, Harry loved plucking the magpie goose but when it was all cooked and ready he would not try it but I did. I liked the goose and the buffalo but it was strong and a bit chewy. it is much easier to hunt and gather in Woolworths.

Rog,
Nelson Bay.. You're in my home town!
Hope you're not getting washed away in that rain!
Looking forward to catching up on your return.

Hi Nick, it's certainly damp here, just glad we're not under canvas. Still paradise though. Look forward to catching up on a month or so.

I have noticed that there has not been any personal abuse so here we go. Get back to work like the rest of us work work work work work work play (after I do the chores Angela sets me of course) then work & so on. What do you think you are doing. If everybody did what you have done ..... opps Angela has just walked in have to go.
