South Kakadu and the road to the Sunshine State - 24 - 29 August

On the Stuart Highway between Adelaide River and Pine Creek is Hayes Creek road house.  About half a kilometre behind the roadhouse is little known Butterfly Gap.
After leaving Darwin we headed for the Sunshine State.  Along the way we went into the southern end of Kakadu to see a few places we had not got to the first time including Gunlom (Waterfall Creek Falls) and Maguk (Barramundi Gorge).
This time we stopped in at Mataranka Springs and stayed at Mataranka Homestead where Nathan Griggs was doing his whip cracking show again.  Harry was called out to help with a trick and survived to tell the tale.
