Our journey is now complete
We are now back in Sydney after having spent thirteen months travelling the country. Jada is back at work, Alison and Harry are back at school and I am doing some consultancy work while I look for a permanent position.
The journey has ended but the memories and friendships endure. I would encourage anyone contemplating a journey such as this to "bite the bullet" and do it - set dates and it will happen. We are happy to talk if you want to contact us and by the way we are now gong to sell our rig if you are interested.
We will leave this site active for some time even though we are now home. We hope some may find it interesting.

It takes a partner that has the same dream (or at least one that is supportive), impetus, dedication, sacrifice, loads of preparation and some money. We are hoping to join the ranks of those lucky few.
On 29 December 2014 we drove out of our modest but comfortable and secure home in Turramurra on Sydney's upper north shore with our hearts in our mouths and stars in our eyes. Forty minutes later while passing Blacktown on the M2 motorway, "how much longer?" Harry asked, "about thirteen months" I replied ...
